Seth Rollins made it to the Elimination Chamber but he didn’t compete. However, as revealed by Fightful Select, The Visionary was initially penciled in to defend his World Heavyweight title against “Big” Bronson Reed. Things didn’t go as planned once Rollins buckled up his knee. That led to a pivot, which saw Adelaide-born Reed getting completely axed from competing in his home country.
Yesterday, after the PLE, Bronson gave a full disclosure of why he was left out of the event. The 35-year-old revealed that he was originally set to compete at the Elimination Chamber. However, plans changed. But in hindsight, Reed would consider that a windfall. Why so? It’s because the Aussie and his wife gave birth to a baby, and they’re now parents.
The former NXT North American Champion was fortunate enough to be with his better half when she needed him the most. Undoubtedly, Reed taking on Rollins for the gold on his home turf would’ve been a watershed moment in his career. However, everything happens for a reason, as Bronson learned.
Meanwhile, Seth Rollins was a guest with Cody Rhodes on The Grayson Waller Effect. The Visionary vowed to shield Rhodes in his ongoing saga with The Bloodline. Moreover, Seth announced that he’s days away from getting medical clearance to make his in-ring return.
During the Waller-hosted segment, Rollins showed signs of physical well-being. He stomped Austin Theory‘s head into the canvas as it came to a close. It was a sight to behold, seeing Optus Stadium host a wrestling rendezvous yesterday.
Seth Rollins will battle Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania XL
The Architect will find himself in familiar territory at WrestleMania. As seen, Drew McIntyre emerged victorious in the men’s Elimination Chamber match. And with that, he’s set to challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship in the City of Brotherly Love.
It will be McIntyre’s first go at the world title at WrestleMania since 2021. The Scottish Warrior can finally get his moment in front of a live audience if he manages to pip The Visionary. Drew’s been on a roll these past months on Raw. And the work he’s been putting in has paid off.
He’s headed to The Showcase of the Immortals and has reacted to his enchanting triumph in Perth. Only time will tell if he’ll complete his redemption arc at WrestleMania and become the World Heavyweight Champion.
