John Cena is one of the most influential sports personalities of all time. Many colleagues and upcoming stars look up to him in search of wisdom and motivation. Recently, Bryan Danielson shared how the Cenation leader’s motto helped him fit into his AEW faction, the Blackpool Combat Club (BCC).
The group consists of AEW’s biggest stars: Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta. While speaking to Sports Illustrated, the American Dragon recalled a conversation he once had with John Cena. The latter advised him to always be careful of the relationships a superstar gets involved in while traveling on the road.
Bryan said, “It was actually John Cena who I first heard say this–you become the five people you spend the most time around.” The 16-time World Champion’s advice has helped the former WWE superstar enjoy his time with the BCC. Furthermore, he joked about taking things “lightly” as a reference to Yuta’s time with another faction, Best Friends.
Danielson is currently recovering from a shoulder injury. His teammates are engaged in a rivalry with the likes of Orange Cassidy. Meanwhile, John Cena last appeared in the squared circle at Money In The Bank as he returned to the sold-out O2 Arena in London.

At WrestleMania 39, he elevated the 26-year-old in their match on the opener of the first night of the spectacular event. Recently, Theory revealed what had happened after their fight backstage. In an interview with the Babyfaces Podcast, he claimed that Cena told him to enjoy the moment and the day.
Furthermore, he recalled being cool as he prepared for one of the biggest moments of his career. “But something that John says that, you know, you could say, a lot of people say, but it’s so true, is just stop being afraid to fail,” Austin Theory said. The US Champion agreed with the legend, as he believed that one should always press forward, no matter the situation.
