“I am Proud of Myself”, Carmella reflects upon her title match loss

Carmella is one of the topmost divas in the women’s division today. She made her debut when she joined NXT in 2013, but came into the limelight when she joined the main roster in 2016. In 2017, she made history by winning the inaugural Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match to earn a title shot at the WWE Women’s Championship. In April 2018, Carmella finally cashed in her Money In The Bank contract to defeat Charlotte and become the WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion. She would be then drafted to Raw and formed an alliance with Queen Zelina to win The Raw Women’s Tag Team titles.

She was last seen in the ring facing the current WWE Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair in a losing effort. But the former 24/7 Champion thinks that she is extremely proud of herself and respects the growth that she has achieved throughout her run in the company. Carmella had challenged the current WWE Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair for a match. After battling it out in a brave encounter, Carmella just fell short of winning the title. Then, Becky Lynch would come to confirm that she’ll be facing Bianca for her title at Summerslam.

Carmella says she is extremely proud of herself even if she lost the title match

Carmella faced Bianca Belair for The Raw Women’s Championship on the 18th July edition.

While the former Smackdown Champion is largely out of the title race, The Princess of State Island tweeted recently to express her gratitude. She tweeted- It’s been a week & I’ve had some time to reflect. I didn’t win the title, but the last few weeks meant more to me than winning a title could have. I needed to remind everyone in the back AND myself that I’m a major player in this division. I’m so capable and I’m proud of myself.

It is indeed a fact that Carmella is a promising talent and deserves a push in the company now.
