WWE Universe saw Seth Rollins go toe-to-toe with Drew McIntyre at Crown Jewel 2023. It was a thrilling contest where anyone could win. However, it was The Visionary who had the last laugh as he retained his World Heavyweight Title. Former NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes took to ‘X’ to express his desire to face the multiple-time champion.

Hayes tweeted and expressed his desire to have a program with The Visionary. He believed that it would be an incredible showdown between both men and that they could deliver a classic bout. The tweet has left the WWE Universe on the edge of their seats. However, Seth Rollins has not responded to it yet.

Carmelo Hayes was last seen in the NXT Championship feud against Ilja Dragunov, giving fans a trilogy of one of the most applauded matches in the history of NXT. Despite failing to recapture his gold from the Mad Dragon, Melo’s stature looks strong in the ring. It seems Melo has his eyes on the bigger prize as he teases a match with the World Heavyweight Champion.

While Melo has shown his immense talent inside the ring, The Visionary is someone whose mantle has been recognized by all. While fans might have to wait to see them stand face-to-face in the ring, the wait might not be for too long. Melo has nearly achieved all that exists in NXT.

At present, he seems to be part of a storyline that involves his best friend, Trick Williams. Meanwhile, The Visionary is enjoying the fruits of his battle against the Scottish Warrior at Crown Jewel 2023. It will be interesting to see when Carmelo Hayes makes his main roster debut at WWE.

In one of the recent episodes of the show, he received a chance to share the ring with two of the biggest stars in the history of WWE, John Cena and The Undertaker. Melo, who became a part of Insights hosted by Chris Van Vliet, expressed how he felt standing in the same ring with those legends.

It was like a dream. It was like a fever dream. This is really cool. The whole thing with Taker at the end, you know, I didn’t know that was gonna happen. I just didn’t know what to do. I just kind of was like, let me just walk back with him. And he walked me through the whole thing with the pose and everything. I was just sitting there like a kid.

Sharing the ring with those legends is a dream for many young talents in professional wrestling. While many stars struggle to even be in the same frame, Melo’s stars did their charm when he not only shared the space but also got endorsed by them.
