“I’m going to my grave believing that”; When NBA legend Charles Barkley blasted commentator for calling WWE fake
Charles Barkley
A lot of people around the globe know about NBA legend, Charles Barkley, and his huge achievements after playing about 16 seasons in NBA. The former basketball player is currently an analyst on the television and is well known for it after he has won four Sports Emmy Awards for his work on ‘Inside the NBA’ which airs on TNT.
But a lesser known fact about the Most Valuable Player of the 1993 season of NBA is that he is a huge fan of the Vince McMahon led, WWE. The former Basketball player has followed the company for a long time and doesn’t like anyone calling Wrestling fake. This happened a couple of years ago when commentator Greg Gumbel called wrestling fake which almost led to Barkley taking him down. Here’s what he said after Gumbel called WWE fake:
“I love me some Goldberg. He’s no Ric Flair but I love me some Goldberg. Greg, if you say something crazy like that again, I will come across that desk on you. No, it’s real. I’m going to my grave believing that.” – Charles Barkley said to Greg Humble after the latter called WWE fake.

Charles Barkley recently quoted the names of a few WWE superstars on Inside the NBA
During a recent episode of Inside the NBA, Charles Barkley came across a tweet from user named Mr. Perfect which brought the basketball legend saying: “Is that Mr. Perfect? Is that Curt Hennig? I remember him, he was a hell of a wrestler. He ain’t no Ric Flair or Rock, or Chris Jericho or Roman Reigns, but he was great.”
Among the few names, Barkley also named current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns which was not expected. This allowed Paul Heyman to react to the acknowledgement who took to Twitter and said: “Ladies and Gentlemen, it’s #TCC Wednesday … #TribalChiefCrush #Wednesday … To wit, I offer you #CharlesBarkley living out his masturbatory fantasies of being @WWERomanReigns …ACKNOWLEDGE … THAT!!!”
