“I was fixing my robe”; Charlotte Flair explains her submission at WrestleMania 38 while things are made official for Backlash
Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey
Charlotte Flair is set to defend her SmackDown Women’s Championship match in an ‘I Quit Match’ against the Baddest Women on the Planet Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania Backlash. While the Queen was not happy that Rousey was granted a rematch for WrestleMania 38, the champion was outraged everytime someone said that she submitted at the 38th edition of the Grandest Stage of them All.
This happened last week on Friday Night SmackDown when Drew Gulak said that he had saw the match at WrestleMania 38 and that Flair had submitted to Rousey in the match which made the Queen angry. This led to the champion attacking Gulak and then applying the figure 8 leg lock making the interviewer scream ‘I Quit’.
What happened when Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey came face to face on SmackDown?
Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair opened up this week’s WWE Friday Night SmackDown and came face to face to sign the contract for their ‘I Quit Match’ at WrestleMania Backlash. The contract signing started with Flair interrupting Drew Gulak and explaining the the rules of the match to the Baddest Women on the Planet. The Queen then said that she would make Rousey scream ‘I Quit’ in agony at the premium live event.
While Rousey was trying to sign the contract, Flair turned the table and attacked the Baddest Women on the Planet with a kendo stick which eventually turned around and led to Rousey attacking Flair with the stick. Eventually when Flair went out, Gulak came over to snatch the kendo stick and ask Rousey to sign the contract which led to the challenger applying the armbar on him and then signing the contract to make things official.
