Iyo Sky almost made herself the Women’s Champion last night at Madison Square Garden. To begin with, Asuka came out and was immediately interrupted by Bianca Belair. Without wasting any time, they started brawling like the worst enemies. Probably less than 10 seconds later, Charlotte Flair made her way out to a massive crowd reaction.

During the segment, Asuka got blindsided from behind by Iyo Sky. The latter assaulted the Empress of Tomorrow with the aid of Bayley. Working as a cohesive unit, Bayley drove Asuka’s face into the briefcase through a Rose Plant. In order to maximize the damage, Sky perched on the top rope and delivered a picture-perfect moonsault over the champion. She then requested The Role Model to initiate the cash-in for her.

However, Bayley was involved in a brawl with Belair outside the ring. On the other hand, Iyo Sky ate an ugly big boot from The Queen. Flair kicked her briefcase, which crashed into the latter’s face, thus preventing a cash-in. Going by the numbers, Iyo Sky has already held onto her Money in the Bank contract long enough to place her just below Carmella.

According to reports, Sky might wait for a bigger stage to pounce on the opportunity. That being said, SummerSlam ain’t that far away. It’s almost certain that WWE might card a multi-women matchup for the Women’s Championship in Detroit. Next week on the blue brand, Asuka will defend her title against Bianca Belair.

Just hours after an eventful night at the MSG, Iyo Sky & Bayley aren’t done yet. Despite an unsuccessful attempt to cash in her MITB contract this week, The Genius of the Sky isn’t backing down. She tweeted out her message loud and clear, aiming at Asuka.

One thing is for sure, until Triple H is calling the shots, Iyo Sky doesn’t need to worry about anything. The Game has been a huge admirer of the former NXT Women’s Champion. Back when she was a part of NXT, the Japanese wrestler was invincible. Hunter always knew she was special, and there’s a lot she’s going to accomplish on the main roster.

At some point, Bayley is likely to turn on her partner. That could possibly happen after Iyo Sky successfully cashes in her contract and bags her first singles title on the main roster. Her first feud after becoming the Women’s Champion should be against The Role Model.
