Valerie Loureda is a professional MMA fighter and has been practicing martial arts from a very young age. Valerie has won 4 fights out of 5 and has fought fighters like Larkyn Dasch, Tara Graff, Hannah Guy and Taylor Turner at the Bellator MMA. In June 2022 Valerie announced that she is quitting MMA and has signed a contract with WWE.

In a recent interview, Loureda said it was her fate to represent her culture as the first WWE Superstar. She stated that she wanted to be the first Cuban-American Latina woman to headline WWE’s Flagship event.  She had stated that she will introduce a new style to WWE that no one has seen before.

During a recent interview with Sam Roberts, Valerie revealed that it was Charlotte Flair who drew her towards wrestling. Valerie said that she watched Charlotte Flair defend the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 38, and that Flair’s performance and skill in the ring inspired her to sign up with the WWE. Loureda claimed that she hoped for the chance to land a WWE contract afterward, and it materialised.

“Yeah, Charlotte Flair is what did it for me. My last fight was in November and in my mind, I was still fighting. Then, I went to WrestleMania — have you guys ever been? It’s just another level. You go in there and you leave different. That’s what changed my mind and I just prayed for this opportunity and it came through.”
