Chelsea Green recounts on behind-the-scenes logic that led to her WWE return at the Royal Rumble
Regardless of the non-consistent booking of WWE women's division, Chelsea Green has been a standout. She recently recollected the memories surrounding her comeback at the Royal Rumble.

Chelsea Green has turned out to be one of the best rehires made by Triple H. She’s been continuously growing her Karen gimmick on a weekly basis. Initially, her on-screen interactions with Adam Pearce produced gold. She depicted herself as the one who’s been treated like an afterthought. As a result, she’d use to threaten Pearce about filing an official complaint to WWE higher-ups.
Needless to say, Green has made the most of whatever she’s been given so far. If this trend continues, fans would love to see her climb up the ranks sooner than later. However, what made Green’s WWE return come true is not a secret anymore. During a recent interview with Ryan Satin on his Out of Character podcast, the Canadian wrestler detailed everything.
At first, Chelsea revealed that she just texted Triple H to get her job back. Also, the 32-year-old star confirmed that she was signed to WWE months prior her Royal Rumble return. The creative team was waiting for the perfect opportunity to present their new hiring in front of the audience.
At the event back in January, she entered at 20th spot. However, she got eliminated within 5 seconds from the match, setting a new-record. During the interview, Chelsea said those 5 seconds will live on forever. She also termed it as the perfect way for her comeback to WWE. “I was waiting to find out when my surprise return would be for months,” Green said. “The Royal Rumble was perfect, and just the way the entire day came together and those five seconds will live on forever. I really think it was the perfect way to come back.”

Chelsea Green has a huge opportunity on next week’s WWE Raw
As seen on Raw in the past few weeks, Chelsea Green has found a new partner in Sonya Deville. Their alliance feels pretty natural, given their issues with the management done by Adam Pearce. Both female stars despise the current on-screen authority figure of WWE. Despite their animosity with him, Green & Deville have found a way to capture some gold on the red brand.
This coming Monday on Raw, WWE will crown the new Women’s Tag-Team Champions. Teams include Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler, Raquel Rodriguez & Shotzi, Bayley & IYO SKY and Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville. This would be a perfect opportunity for Chelsea Green to win her first major title in WWE.
