The Hot Mess Chelsea Green is one of the most popular WWE stars of recent times. The Canadian has made a name for herself in the Stamford-based company over the last year. Her in-ring time has mostly seen her in tag team action, which even rewarded her with a Women’s Tag Team Championship reign. It was not that long ago when her husband, Matt Cardona, proudly wore that title at an independent wrestling event.

While talking on the Lightweights Podcast, Green recalled being worried about that shocking moment. She started with the time when Cardona came in to witness her title victory on an episode of Raw in Atlanta. Being proud of her wife’s accomplishment, the latter bought a replica title that night from the WWE Shop or Fanatics and carried it over to Japan with him. However, Green was not informed about it.

Everyone except her believed that The King of the Indies had carried that particular WWE belt to Wrestle Peter Pan 2023. However, the people at WWE were also confident enough that the title carried over the seven seas was not the official one by trusting Chelsea. Even after all this trust in the Stamford-based promotion, Green still worried about the potential consequences she could face from Cardona’s actions.

The 32-year-old mentioned how the former Intercontinental Champion likes to do crazy things. She reminded everyone that Cardona’s wrestling videos have her as the butt of his jokes, taking a sarcastic jab at WWE. This all made her believe that his employers would take action against her and that she would need to differentiate the titles.

Chelsea Green discloses her role in ‘A Bluegrass Christmas’

It was known recently that Chelsea Green was pursuing her acting career with her WWE run. In November 2023, the 32-year-old posted about filming a movie in Canada. Last week on the aforementioned podcast, though, she shared details about the project and showed her interest in exploring the opportunity.

Chelsea stated it to be a Christmas movie, filmed in Ontario, that will come out this year. The title ‘A Bluegrass Christmas’ might come this Summer to spread the unusual X-Mas vibes. The Canadian star described her role as that of a country singer, although she ignored her actual awful singing skills. Green joked about her singing bit but then focused on leaning towards the acting side of things.

Green has been performing on the Raw roster in a tag team alongside Piper Niven. The duo lost their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship to the KC’s, Kayden Carter and Katana Chance, in December 2023. As things stand, it is unknown how The Hot Mess would make her way into WrestleMania 40.
