AEW superstar CJ Perry, formerly known as Lana, recently suffered a finger injury that sidelined her indefinitely from television. Moreover, she revealed that the infection had worsened and required immediate surgery as well. Now, the former WWE star has shared a gruesome update after a successful surgery.
Perry provided an update on her Instagram story, expressing her gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and medical staff. Furthermore, the 38-year-old posted a grim-looking graphic of her infected finger. Evidently, it seems that Perry will be out of action for a longer period of time. Fans and wrestlers have sent their thoughts and prayers to the charismatic on-screen manager.

Perry debuted in All Elite Wrestling (AEW) at the annual All Out pay-per-view in September. Despite her husband, Miro, refusing to work with her, CJ revealed that she was open to managing other wrestlers on the roster. As a result, she began her AEW managerial career with Andrade El Idolo in November. Prior to her unfortunate injury, a rivalry between Miro and Andrade seemed to be building up.

The former NXT Champion is currently competing in the Blue League of the Continental Classic tournament. In fact, he’s one of the favorites to reach the finals, which will take place at Worlds End on December 30. Needless to say, Perry will be a huge miss amid the rise of Andrade’s run in the company.
CJ Perry revealed her wrestling ambitions prior to injury
CJ Perry entered the world of professional wrestling in 2013 as the on-screen manager of Rusev. Since then, she has had her share of ups and downs in the business. Recently, The Ice Queen claimed that she wants to end her career as the greatest manager of all time.

While speaking with Chris Van Vliet, CJ revealed that she intends on surpassing the legacy of Paul Heyman, whom many believe is the greatest wrestling manager of all time. Moreover, the 38-year-old prefers managing superstars to winning or fighting for championships.

I want to be the best of all time. I want to be the best wrestling manager of all time. People often want to be managed by Paul Heyman, because he is the best manager of all time right now, right? I want to take that spot.CJ Perry on her wrestling ambitions
Without a doubt, Perry has a long way to go before reaching her desired heights in the industry. However, she has the potential to become one of the greatest of all time in her role. Needless to say, CJ’s ongoing run at AEW might help establish her brand.
