CM Punk is laying his hands in every possible direction. His latest social media venture has left the fans guffawing. He recently responded to one of Bayley‘s group photos with Damage CTRL. Punk said that he hasn’t heard back from the top women’s faction since he submitted an application to join them. Though it was a light-hearted exchange, the fans certainly had fun.

It needs to be said that The Best in the World shares a pretty amicable bond with Bayley. The two have been spotted hanging out on numerous occasions alongside AJ Lee. So, maybe Punk was just trying to use this leverage to become an honorary member of Damage CTRL.

But that’s not all. In one of his Instagram stories, The Second City Saint also reacted to Bayley and Mercedes Mone attending TNA pay-per-view Hard to Kill in a tad surreptitious manner. Both Bayley and Mercedes were spotted rocking sunglasses and were given a certain suite to enjoy the whole show.

However, taking a page out of his social media repertoire, Punk referred to them as two hooligans trying to steal catalytic converters from his neighborhood. One could argue that CM Punk remains a touch above his peers when it comes to applying his online acumen.

In under a week’s time, Punk goes to war at the Royal Rumble. He would step into that coveted field of 29 other men vying for that invaluable spot at WrestleMania. As of now, he’s the odds-on favorite to win the men’s side of things. But before that, he will confront Cody Rhodes on this week’s Raw.

Are CM Punk’s WrestleMania plans in jeopardy?

As reported recently, Seth Rollins has been confirmed as CM Punk’s opponent at WrestleMania 40. However, everyone witnessed how Seth had his knee messed up while defending his World Heavyweight title against Jinder Mahal.

In post-show revelations by Fightful Select, it was revealed that The Visionary had suffered a torn MCL and a partially torn meniscus. Obviously, there are concerns in backstage circles encompassing the possibility that this could potentially rule Rollins out of WrestleMania.

According to PWInsider, he could return in 3–4 weeks if Rollins is able to push through the surgery. However, that would only make him in-ring ready for The Grandest Stage, but anything before that could be questionable. The Architect will open this week’s Raw and hopes to address the looming enigma around his injury.
