After an explosive Royal Rumble event, fans were excited to see the aftermath. However, Raw was kicked off by The Best in the World, CM Punk. He opened the show to give an insight into his injury. The Second City Saint, with a heavy heart, announced that he had torn his triceps and was going to be out of action for several months.
During his promo, Punk looked emotional. He revealed to his fans that he was going to miss WrestleMania 40 with teary eyes. It was heartbreaking news, as fans were expecting him to main event at this year’s Show of Shows. However, he assured the WWE Universe that he is going to be back and will have his eyes set on WrestleMania next year.
At the Royal Rumble, the Second City Saint injured his triceps after a DDT. The 45-year-old was disheartened. However, he looked positive about his recovery. Moreover, main eventing WrestleMania has been a dream for CM Punk. Seeing it slip out of his hands was poignant for him.
According to some, The Best in the World might be out for over 4 months. Only time will tell what the future of The Voice of the Voiceless will look like. It will be interesting to see the road to WrestleMania from here on out without CM Punk. He was rumored to have a match against Seth Rollins. However, that doesn’t look like a case now, which will heavily impact the card at the Showcase of the Immortals.
CM Punk sets up a match against Drew McIntyre upon his return
During the segment with CM Punk, he was audaciously interrupted by Drew McIntyre on Raw. The Scottish Warrior roughly interacted with an injured Second City Saint. He revealed that he prayed for the injury of Punk, and he intentionally hurt his triceps to take him down.
After hearing this, The Voice of the Voiceless was furious, which led to him making it clear that upon his return, McIntyre was going to be the first person he would go after. This had the crowd going bonkers, as Punk vs. Drew has been a dream match for many. However, the moment was cut short after The Scottish Warrior lost his cool and attacked the 45-year-old.
I don't know what I believe in, I went through some changes recently myself. I have never been much of a spiritual person but I want you to know this I PRAYED FOR THIS AND I HAPPENED. I targeted you. Then I heard the news and I slept like a baby last night.Drew McIntyre to CM Punk
McIntyre viciously attacked the already-injured triceps of Punk. He continued for a few weeks with the injured arm. Notwithstanding that the recently returned Sami Zayn rushed to save the day and took out the Scottish Superstar. It needs to be noted that Punk has set his eyes on the man who was injured. It is going to be engrossed to see the dynamics between the two upon his return.
