When CM Punk made his iconic return at Survivor Series, all the fans around the world went wild. They were all so excited to see what WWE did with Punk this time. Moreover, they also waited for his interactions with other WWE superstars. In these two weeks, The Best in the World met a lot of top stars backstage. Moreover, he finally met one of his closest friends, Kofi Kingston.

On the latest episode of WWE Raw, Punk met Kofi backstage after nearly a decade and teased him by saying, “Jamaican me cr*zy“. The Straight Edge Superstar said that because, when he was a regular member of the WWE a decade ago, Kofi had a Jamaican accent for his character. The New Day member hilariously corrected Punk, saying he doesn’t do that anymore.

Kofi was one of the few people who remained close friends with Punk throughout his career. They joined forces in 2008 as a Tag Team and won Tag Team Gold by defeating Cody and Ted DiBiase. Their reign lasted only 50 days. Nonetheless, their chemistry was off the charts, and it left a lasting impression on fans.

Punk finally faced off against the one person from whom he received the most heat, the World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins. The Second City Saint made his intentions clear, announcing he would be participating in the Royal Rumble. Afterward, the 45-year-old star warned the champ, claiming he would come after him.

The majority of the roster is happy with CM Punk’s behavior

CM Punk’s return at Survivor Series was a well-kept secret by WWE; no one other than a few higher-ups knew about it. So there were a few legitimate angry reactions among several superstars. Some were not happy with how his fallout with AEW went. Meanwhile, others were aware of his behavior during his first run in WWE.

Mike Johnson revealed on the PWInsider Elite Show that even those who don’t like him felt his behavior was pleasant backstage. Furthermore, he interacted with all the superstars in a happy and relaxed manner. He added that many top superstars believe he has been great to everyone thus far, and past opinions about him are slowly changing now.

The on-screen altercation between Punk and Rollins, where he seemed visibly angry after the former’s return at Survivor Series, was all part of a storyline heading towards a heated rivalry. They came face-to-face for the first time on the latest episode of Raw, and both expressed their hatred for each other. It will be interesting to see whether the Second City Saint wins the Royal Rumble and challenges Rollins at WrestleMania 40 or not.
