CM Punk as the AEW World Champion (via- Showbuzz Daily)
CM Punk came to All Elite Wrestling as the hottest agent in professional wrestling. Reports of him possibly signing a contract with them went out quite few days ago than his actual return which ultimately caused a flurry of excitement among the wrestling universe. The impact and moment was so such special that it made the United Centre in Chicago sell within bare minutes.
The event for the aforementioned venue was the television debut of AEW Rampage show which layer became one of their weekly shows. The premier edition was named AEW Rampage : The First Dance and this was the exact program for which Punk’s return was heavily rumoured.
The show opened with loud CM Punk chants echoing throughout the arena and finally they got what they came for and that’s the pro-wrestling return of former WWE Champion CM Punk. The pop for his arrival was just unreal and it thoroughly blew the roof off the arena.
CM Punk will not return to AEW after recent controversy

We all saw what followed CM Punk’s successful AEW Title win against Jon Moxley at All Out earlier this month. After the event, all hell cut lose during the media scrum when he started making derogatory comments on his former friend Colt Cabana and other wrestlers.
His negative comments led to a legit physical altercation backstage between The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega and Ace Steel as repercussions saw all of them getting suspended from AEW indefinitely. Punk also underwent surgery after he sustained an injury during his match which will keep him away from the ring for atleast 8 months.
Now, Wade Keller of PW Torch is reporting that all signs are pointing towards the AEW departure of CM Punk and he might never actually wrestle for them again. Also, it is now quite possible that he’ll bit out his contract from the promotion.
