We're very similar. The difference is, I can talk about my career & not have to mention him. He can’t talk about his career without mentioning me. I understand where he's coming from, you know, I understand, I think he's always felt like he was the little brother. I've never tried to treat him that way, I've always tried to treat him like a peer but some people you just can't reach. He hates me. He hates me, like Colorado Avalanche & Red Wings

It's not like I was off TV for a super long time. But as a performer, you're still like, Are they going to remember me? Are they...? I was legit in an arena that had not been kind to me throughout my career. My first UFC fight was in that building, and I didn't even realize that. I ran out of things, like bad things. A lot of bad things have happened to me in this building, you know what I mean? I got beat up here. But I think it was also hugely cathartic because I'm very much a guy who, if you ask me if I'm ready, I'm going to tell you no. Part of the juice is being in front of the live crowd. I'm the old guy on the ice now. I can stretch and warm up, and I'm not going to be ready until I'm on the ice, the whistle blows, and the puck drops. Now I'm ready. So I need to be in front of the crowd, see the red light on the camera, and then it's like, Okay, now it's go time.

Uncertain about the crowd’s reception, The former UFC star reflected on the arena’s history, which included his first UFC loss. However, after witnessing the live audience’s reaction the Best in the world felt better and ready to go.
