CM Punk, one of wrestling’s most controversial figures, made a highly anticipated return to WWE after almost a decade away. Speculation was rife that Punk would finally clash with his long-time rival, Seth “Freakin” Rollins, at WrestleMania 40. However, Punk’s hopes of headlining the Grandest Stage of Them All were dashed when he suffered defeat in the Royal Rumble match. Moreover, he sustained a triceps injury, effectively closing the door on his main event aspirations.
Recently on X, XeroNews reported some crucial news pieces. What caught the eyes of the WWE Universe is the speculated return of the Second City Saviour. It is reported that Punk is slated to return at Raw after WrestleMania. Usually, Raw after Mania is the beginning of a new journey. Many new storylines begin on the show which is usually star-studded.
After undergoing successful surgery, Punk is determined to make a triumphant comeback, despite being sidelined from the WrestleMania World Title picture. Confident in his abilities, he boldly claims that his return will surpass all others in history. Seth “Freakin” Rollins has taken some shots at Punk regarding his injury and missing the upcoming WrestleMania.

With CM Punk and Brock Lesnar out of the WrestleMania picture, WWE had to bring in The Rock to maintain star power. Only if Punk had not gotten injured, the Reigns–Rhodes–Rock fiasco would not have begun. Also, fans would have got the dream match between The Visionary and The Best in the World. It will be interesting to see if Rollins somehow manages to remain the champion by the time Punk returns.
CM Punk remains in the headlines despite being out of the Road to WrestleMania
Despite his infrequent appearances on the show and his ongoing injury, CM Punk continues to dominate headlines. His last appearance on Raw ended dramatically when Drew McIntyre attacked him, effectively writing him off television. Since then, McIntyre has consistently referenced Punk, proudly boasting about sidelining him and actively pushing him out of the Road to WrestleMania.
At the WrestleMania XL Kickoff media event, CM Punk sat alongside Pat McAfee, Big E, and Michael Cole. Tensions between The Rock and Roman Reigns escalated as they neared finalizing their match, only to be interrupted by The American Nightmare, Cody Rhodes. Punk seized the moment, taking shots at The Great One, especially after witnessing him slap Rhodes. Fans cheered Punk’s bold remarks, knowing The People’s Champion was listening.

The announcement of The Cookie Master’s participation in Elimination Chamber: Perth thrilled fans, but his injury has led to his absence from the event’s advertising. However, anticipation builds as rumors suggest that upon his return, The Voice of the Voiceless will engage in a feud with The Scottish Warrior, promising an electrifying showdown for fans eagerly awaiting Punk’s comeback.
