CM Punk‘s bummed he could not make to WrestleMania this year. However, he doesn’t miss out on handing out flowers to those who earned their way to compete on the grandest stage. And one of them is Bayley. In one of his Instagram stories, The Best in the World addressed the displeasure she’s had of late. As known, The Role Model expressed her resentment after being omitted from WrestleMania banners and adjacent promotional material.
Reacting to her conspicuous snub, Punk said he felt Bayley needed to be there. The 45-year-old hailed Bayley’s Royal Rumble victory and said she’s pretty much in the mix to headline WrestleMania. Further, The Second City Saint urged fans to put some respect on her name. Apart from that, Punk was in Vegas for the WrestleMania XL press conference.
He acted as the host alongside Michael Cole, Pat McAfee, and Big E. Punk also had some strong words for Cody Rhodes after he got slapped by Dwayne Johnson at the presser. He said that Cody might finish his story in Philadelphia, but he should’ve gotten back to The Rock immediately after being smacked in the face.
A viral clip on social media spotted Johnson having a slight stare at Punk while he manifested Rhodes to get his own back on Dwayne. The moment CM Punk teased that he was traveling for the press conference, fans started daydreaming again.
Fantasies were floating on the internet that called for Punk to be a WrestleMania host this year. Recently, there was speculation that WWE has offered Punk to do commentary while he’s on the shelf. However, it seems to have been debunked by Ace Steel.
How CM Punk’s feeling after successful torn triceps surgery?
As he stated during the Vegas presser, The Voice of the Voiceless had surgery last Thursday. No further complications will keep him out of action for 4–6 months. This week on Raw, WWE aired a vignette that followed CM Punk on the day he had surgery.
After undergoing a successful one, Punk stated that his comeback would be the greatest in history. On Raw-post Royal Rumble, Punk was confronted by Drew McIntyre. The segment ended up being the worst nightmare for The Best in the World.
McIntyre dropped him on the mat and even stomped on his affected arm. WWE potentially set up Punk’s first feud whenever he returns with that exchange, though. It remains to be seen whether he’ll have any role to play at this year’s WrestleMania.
