Unusual activity on WWE’s website doubles down on CM Punk’s return rumors to the company
In the past 24 hours, WWE has updated CM Punk's profile in their alumni section, invoking an unbridled spree of rumors.

Despite the conflicting reports, a new development in CM Punk‘s potential WWE return has emerged. A few hours ago, out of the blue, WWE decided to update Punk’s alumni profile on their official website. They don’t usually touch that section until a superstar’s release or relegation. However, it has happened to none other than CM Punk, who’s been the talk of the town.
A user on X claimed that WWE added a binary code right at the end of Punk’s profile page. It translates to September 3, which was the date of CM Punk’s AEW firing. It appears like that code enjoyed a sojourn and was removed thereafter. Though it could be a technical glitch, the social media geeks have once again jumped on the bandwagon. They believe it’s WWE’s way to tease the return of The Best in the World.

With the Survivor Series around the corner, the rumors will grow in number. No matter if Punk gets back to WWE in Chicago or not, the premium live event is bound to be chaotic. As for the latest spark in his talks with WWE, the 45-year-old is privately denying any such claim, per Fightful. The Second City Saint has told his friends and close ones that he’s not in negotiations with WWE for a return.
If Punk were to return, it would be a huge surprise to almost everyone in WWE, except the top officials. Some contrasting reports also suggest that Triple H has CM Punk in his “back pocket” for a return en route to WrestleMania 40. However, it’s one of the many things floating on the internet.
CM Punk chants hijacked Shinsuke Nakamura’s match on this week’s Raw
For the first time in a long time, some vapid CM Punk chants broke out this week on Raw. It happened when Shinsuke Nakamura went up against Akira Tozawa. The packed house at the Mohegan Sun Arena seemed less interested in what was happening in the ring.

Henceforth, the crowd started chanting CM Punk’s name. It’s something that has kept WWE on tenterhooks in the past. Despite some uncalled vocals from the crowd, Shinsuke punished Tozawa and emerged victorious. However, it doesn’t appear like he’s satisfied, and will go one-on-one with Otis next week.
A rumor suggests that the only scenario for CM Punk’s return at Survivor Series could be when/if Nakamura issues an open challenge at the show. And that’s something the Japanese wrestler has been teasing for weeks—a man who could set him free. Those wordings fall under Punk’s Cult of Personality theme song lyrics.
