Cody Rhodes puts his “Night of Champions” robe up for auction in order to support the battle against pediatric cancer

The top babyface of Raw, Cody Rhodes has been benefitting the company with his wide-spread popularity. The American Nightmare has also now taken a step forward to contribute to society with a charity auction. Rhodes gave his iconic robe for an auction for the coming 15 days. As WWE is partnering with V Foundation, Connor’s Cure will be supporting pediatric cancer research across the United States.
Cody has announced the auction on his Instagram with a post showing the robe with his sign on it. He wrote that the proceeds from this auction will be donated to Connor’s Cure which has partnered with WWE. Rhodes wore the robe during the Night of Champions 2023 in Jeddah for his match against Brock Lesnar in May. The winning bid will receive a Certificate of Authenticity for the robe with an added inscription stating, #DoTheWork.
WWE has partnered with the V Foundation for nine years and has been contributing to pediatric cancer research. Rhodes will give the proceeds to Connor’s Cure, a campaign started in 2014 in remembrance of Connor Michalek. The demise of 8-year-old Connor due to medulloblastoma saw WWE raising funds for the better purpose of supporting cancer centers around the United States of America.
Along with Rhodes, Edge and Bayley have also been contributing to the charity on their side. Bayley has kept her old ring gear in auction to donate all the proceeds to the Hawaiian Community Fund regarding the Maui wildfires. While Edge will be carrying out an auction of his ring-worn jacket in Toronto’s match against Sheamus. Edge donated the proceeds to the Sami For Syria campaign helping medical care to displaced residents.
Cody Rhodes is speculated to feud with John Cena
The return of John Cena on SmackDown has scheduled his stay for two months. The Champ will have a full-fledged run for the first time since the time he left WWE in 2016. The part-time schedule of Cena saw several appearances each year, but this year sees his return for a long time and potential dream matches.
WRKD Wrestling has reported that there are plans for Cody Rhodes’ feud with John in the coming months. The current face of Raw and the past face of the entire WWE can be clashing at the coming premium live event. A respectful match between these megastars will gain eyeballs from many due to their wide-spread fandom.
There are also rumors of Cena’s feud with LA Knight during his appearances on SmackDown. While the feud looks more feasible, the match shall also make up for putting over the Megastar. Nevertheless, Cody’s possibility cannot be ignored as his appearances on SmackDown will bring in more eyeballs for Friday Nights.
