“Hopefully, get back to that soon”- Cody Rhodes talks about the days he wants to relive very soon in his life
Cody Rhodes in WWE
The WWE Universe was in awe when they saw Cody Rhodes return to the WWE. Cody Rhodes’ return to the WWE was one of the best WWE moments of the year, with The American Dream getting an ESPY moment of the year award for his return to the WWE. Cody Rhodes was the surprise opponent of Seth Rollins at the WrestleMania 38 and he defeated Rollins at the event. Cody then went on to defeat Rollins on two separate occasions, one at the WrestleMania Backlash and other being at the Hell in a Cell Live event, which was awarded a five star by Dave Meltzer.
Cody Rhodes had left WWE in 2016 after being a part of the company for about 10 years. Rhodes had cited creative disputes as the reason for him leaving the company. He wanted to put a stop on his Stardust gimmick and plead to the writers about it but that didn’t happen. Rhodes then was one of the founding members of the AEW, and was influential in the development of the company. He, along with his wife left AEW in march of this year as they were unable to come to terms with the new contract at the company.
Cody Rhodes can’t wait to be back to the WWE
During a recent talk with TMZ, Cody Rhodes spoke about his WWE run after his return. He claimed that after his comeback, WWE treated him incredibly well and that things were moving along smoothly before he sustained an injury. Cody Rhodes claimed that the three months from his homecoming till his injury were the happiest of his life and expressed the goal of experiencing them again soon.
“They’ve treated me like the house that built me,” Rhodes said. “And honestly, it was amazing. “We were back, and everything was rolling so fast. And then I tore my pec. It was like the best three months of my life, hopefully, get back to that soon.”
The WWE Universe will hopefully be satisfied as well as Cody Rhodes when he makes his anticipated return at the Royal Rumble in 2023. In the same interview, Rhodes also discussed his anticipated return, saying that he has his mind where he wants it to be and that he believes many fans feel the same way.
