Cody Rhodes has been one of the most successful superstars in WWE in terms of fan popularity. The American Nightmare receives a huge reaction on almost every show that he appears on. On the other hand, former NXT Champion Karrion Kross has failed to create the same impact since his return to the company last year.

While talking to Chris Van Vliet, Cody Rhodes had an interesting gimmick idea for Kross. Rhodes praised Karrion Kross for being a great performer and a great person. He also said that Kross’ Jessie Venture impression is spot-on. While talking about the 38-year-old and his impression, the American Nightmare hilariously suggested that he could even develop a new gimmick out of the impression.

Cody Rhodes suggested that Karrion Kross can come out to the ring as Tony Ventura and call himself the son of the veteran commentator. He also said that they could bring in Jessie Ventura and turn it into a funny storyline. Cody believes that this could benefit the Doom Walker, as he has not made an impact on the main roster since returning.

Kross was one of the most dominant NXT Champions until he was shockingly released in 2021. When Triple H regained control in 2022, he was one of the first superstars to be brought back. However, the company did not do anything solid with him and his wife, Scarlett Bordeaux, who is also his manager.

The theme song “Kingdom” playing during WrestleMania 38 and Cody Rhodes coming out to wrestle Seth Rollins was one of the greatest moments in WrestleMania history. This was special because Rhodes had left the company six years ago and formed his own company, AEW. It was the first real competition WWE had has in pro wrestling industry.

Therefore, the EVP of the opponent jumping back was a big deal. When asked about how he felt being back in WWE after achieving so much, Cody Rhodes had an interesting answer. Rhodes said that three years ago, it would have been unthinkable to do what he did.

But looking back at it now, he said that this was the only way to go. He said that he was destined to come back the way he did and leave AEW behind. He also said that his journey so far has been exceptional and has seen WWE change a lot from the last time he was here.

In February 2022, Cody Rhodes announced that he would be leaving AEW with his wife as they decided not to renew their contracts. Therefore, after months of rumors and speculations, The American Nightmare returned to WWE with a thunderous reaction in one of the most memorable moments.
