Jade was featured in the main event of the house show against Lyra Valkyria. The match took place at Dade City Armoury in Florida. Owing to her injury, the match had to go through a clumsy-botched finish, leaving fans concerned. Jade also had to be carried away from the ring.
Jade is someone who is not a stranger to injuries. Despite being so young, she has a history of injuries which even dragged her away on a 4-month hiatus recently. It hasn’t been so long since her return and she has already succumbed to another major hindrance. Fans are keeping the young superstar in their prayers and can’t wait for her return.
Cora Jade’s Injury Brings Question to WWE’s Training Regime
The news of the 23-year-old superstar getting injured has left several people in the wrestling community upset. WWE has also confirmed the details and nature of Jade’s Injury. However, the entire course of events had given birth to a new set of debates around the safety of the WWE training regime. Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Radio Observer recently vented his thoughts about this unfortunate event.
I've had people — this is before Cora Jade was hurt. Just questioning, 'What are they doing in training?' Because, historically, women don't get torn ACLs. They train them very, very hard, which, in theory, is a good thing, but not if you're gonna have this many injuries.Dave Meltzer on Cora Jade’s Injury
Additionally, the veteran wrestling journalist brought in how notable names like Nikkita Lyons and Tegan Nox also suffered a similar kind of fate. For Meltzer, such a high frequency of injuries inside the women’s division has rung the bell against the training regime.
While the veteran showed skepticism about the facilities at the training center, the concern isn’t incredible in any sense. If the speculations take up the heat, one can expect the WWE team to quickly respond to such allegations. For now, fans hope that such injuries raise awareness around the safety standards for the athletes in WWE.
