Cora Jade is one of the most highly-paced rising women in WWE right now. She currently performs on NXT and was involved in a personal rivalry with her former tag-team partner, Roxanne Perez. At Halloween Havoc, Jade was entitled to go up against the latter in a Weapons Wild match. At the event, Perez completed her revenge and earned a pinfall victory over Jade.

A loss for the young gun from Chicago wouldn’t mean her downfall by any means. Who knows what she may have been thinking in her forehead after sustaining that humiliating loss. Well, we will get a clear glimpse at what’s next for these women in coming weeks.

During a recent interview with Fightful, the upstart revealed NXT’s transition from being Black and Gold to a revamped 2.0 version. She mentioned how her arrival found herself in that modified show format and even though it wasn’t something fans were able to easily connect at, it worked for her. NxT 2.0 felt like an open opportunity to many younger people like her.

When it switched over to 2.0, I felt like, with change you always wonder what’s going to happen when things change and everyone has their opinion. I felt like, at the time, it was a chance for me to grow and get more opportunities that maybe I wouldn’t have had if it was still how it was. 2.0 really opened up a lot of opportunities for younger people like myself.

Cora had her WWE tryout exactly two years back from October 30th and she’s come a long way since then. Probably the performance that pre-determined her bright future was that 2021 Wargames match where she teamed up against Raquel Rodriguez, IO Shirai and Kay Lee Ray. They faced the rule-breakers in Toxic Attraction and Dakota Kai.

The entire story of the match revolved around an injured Cora Jade who got her arm targeted by the heels. Despite being not able to move 100% of her body, her guts overpowered on everything and she went onto earn the ultimate victory for her team. Ending moments saw Jade pinning Jacy Jayne to assert herself into the game.

Now, although it will be extremely early to state how far she’ll end up in WWE, Jade is destined for greatness by the early looks of it. Even at present, when she’s just 21, Cora Jade is making her best efforts towards building herself as a unique identity in this company.
