Despite the notable absences of The Rock and Roman Reigns, last night’s episode of SmackDown was full of entertaining moments. In a WrestleMania tag team qualifier, The Street Profits took on Grayson Waller and Austin Theory. During the match, Corey Graves on commentary was bodied by the Aussie Icon.

The two teams took the action ringside. As Waller came close to the announce table, Angelo Dawkins laid him out with a fierce bump that sent him flying over, taking out Graves in the process. The wrestler-turned-commentator fell from his chair as the live telecast went to commercial. When they returned from the break, Corey Graves and Wade Barrett joked about the spot, calling his place as the “worst seat” in the house.

As for the tag team match, Waller and Theory punched their ticket to WrestleMania. The Street Profits’ rivals, Authors of Pain, caused a distraction, allowing the two snarky heels to pick up the win. The duo will now have a chance to become the Undisputed Tag Team Champions. However, it won’t be a straightforward task at all.

The arrogant pair will have to battle it out against five of the best teams in WWE. In addition to that, this will mark Grayson Waller‘s WrestleMania debut and Austin Theory‘s third match after he defeated John Cena at last year’s event. Needless to say, it will be interesting to see if Waller and Theory capture the tag titles at the Showcase of the Immortals.

Grayson Waller nominated for Social Star of the Year Slammy Award

Without a doubt, Grayson Waller’s transition to the main roster has been a successful one. The 34-year-old star has interacted with the likes of John Cena and Randy Orton in less than a year. Moreover, it can be said that his character as an arrogant and cocky wrestler has been the main reason behind this. However, this wouldn’t have been possible without his social media presence.

From trolling his opponents to picking a fight with Taylor Swift‘s fanbase, Waller has proven why he’s one of the most charismatic stars in WWE. Therefore, it wasn’t surprising when WWE nominated him for the Slammy Award for Social Star of the Year.

It might end up being a week to remember for the Aussie Icon if he bags this award and ends up winning the Tag Team Championships alongside Austin Theory. Furthermore, it is only a matter of time before he becomes a main event player on the main roster.
