“Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins put it over perfectly”- Wrestling legend showers praise on a recent Wrestlemania Backlash rematch

Jim Cornette is highly impressed after witnessing Rollins Vs. Rhodes ll at Wrestlemania Backlash.

Cody Rhodes defeated Seth Rollins at Backlash.

The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes got the better of his counterpart Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins at Wrestlemania Backlash in their rematch as he defeated The Visionary after a grueling battle. The match lasted for over 20 minutes and it was a technical masterpiece. This time around, Seth Rollins came prepared for his opponent as he countered Cody on every aspect in the early parts of the match.

As the match picked up pace, both men started to showcase all the arrows stored in their arsenal. Cody planted Seth with his patent Cody Cutter from the middle-rope but Rollins kicked out, he even escaped the Cross Rhodes too.

The ending moments of the match saw both superstars trying to pin each other through different pinning combinations and finally Cody pinned Rollins while holding his tights in a shocking fashion. Seth was clearly shocked and enraged by the finish of that match as he kept looking Rhodes going back to the entrance area.

Former Wrestling manager, Jim Cornette opened up on this match during a recent episode of his Jim Cornette’s Drive Thru podcast while calling it a ‘great wrestling match’. He was amazed at the stunning clothesline Cody took on himself at the ringside floor spinning it all down to the mat.

This was a great wrestling match – and they put it together perfectly. Even from the start, Cody would do a few things but Seth would take over. Seth would piss him off and run. Cody’s temper would flare for a second but Seth would get back on him. He took a great spinning clothesline bump on the floor, Cody did, and they kept him in the position where he was selling and fighting from underneath, he’d make a little bit of a comeback. But, one time he made a comeback and went for the Cody Cutter and Seth pushed him off the top rope – great timing on that.”

This match was heavily praised by the WWE Universe too. Both men put on a show for the live crowd filling out the arena in which they’re performing at and they just made their every penny worth.

What’s next for Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins?

Seth Rollins viciously attacked Cody Rhodes on this week’s Raw.

Their epic clash at Backlash wasn’t all to settle the dust between them as on this week’s Monday Night Raw, Seth Rollins viciously attacked Cody Rhodes during his United States Championship match against Theory.

When it was looking like Cody is about to close in an US Title victory, Rollins appeared outta nowhere to take him down as he continued attacking Rhodes at the ringside area before Stomping his head off the Commentary table.

Now if you’re a smart fellow, you might’ve actually already guessed upon what’s for them? I mean, Hell in a Cell is not that far away. Right? It is almost looking a lock that both Rollins and Rhodes will take their already heated rivalry to the next level inside that unforgiving structure next month.
