Brock Lesnar, WWE’s marquee attraction, appears to have been removed from their historical narrative. Gunther has openly expressed his desire to face Lesnar multiple times. Rumors swirled about The Beast’s return at the Royal Rumble match, followed by a feud with The Ring General, culminating in their dream match at WrestleMania XL.

Gunther recently provided insight to GVWire about the status of the highly-anticipated dream match. The longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion admitted uncertainty about the mixed martial artist’s WWE return. However, he affirmed his readiness for the match once the 46-year-old superstar receives the green light to return to WWE.

With The Cowboy’s creative future uncertain, Gunther’s WrestleMania match hangs in uncertainty. WWE often leans on legends to elevate event star power, particularly at the Grandest Stage of Them All. With the 10-time WWE Champion absent from WrestleMania, the former WWE United Kingdom Champion may need to seek out another credible superstar to feud with.

Amid the human trafficking case controversy, Lesnar made a public appearance with his daughter. WWE’s apparent efforts to erase The Next Big Thing from their history suggests his time with the company may have come to an end. Only time will reveal if the Beast will be unleashed once again in WWE.

“Main Event” Jey Uso is scheduled to take on Gunther for the WWE Intercontinental Championship next week on Raw

Gunther’s minions, Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci faced off with Jey Uso over a few episodes of Raw. While Uso vowed to fight for the WWE Intercontinental Championship, Gunther declined. On Raw this week, the former right-hand man alongside new allies, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods picked up a win over Imperium.

As a consequence, next week on Raw, Gunther will defend his coveted title against the former Tag Team Champion. Whenever the 38-year-old makes it to the ring, the crowd gets electrified and welcomes him with dancing arms. Triple H took to X to hype the WWE Universe about the incoming classic featuring two of the best on the Raw roster.

Whether the recently arrived Raw superstar will topple The Ring General or not, Jey Uso will surely make him feel “Ucey”. It will be interesting to see if Jey Uso has what it takes to end the longest Intercontinental Championship reign of Gunther. Both superstars are credible and are expected to deliver a certified classic when they face off one-on-one.
