Injured female SmackDown star spotted with Israel Adesanya in unexpected WWE-UFC crossover

Damage CTRL member Dakota Kai is recovering from an ACL injury and is almost cleared to complete. Even though she has been on the sidelines, she made her presence felt by becoming the mouthpiece of the group. She was recently spotted with UFC star, Israel Adesanya, surprising wrestling and UFC fans all over the world.
Kai took to Instagram and shared a picture of her with the MMA legend, who recently won the UFC Middleweight Championship twice. Adesanya became the very first man to achieve the feat, and that’s why he is considered one of the absolute legends of the UFC.
The 35-year-old is an important member of the group, as she made her main roster debut at SummerSlam, joining the group. Kai even found some success as she became the WWE Women’s Team Champion with Iyo Sky twice. Unfortunately, Kai suffered an ACL on the May 12 episode of SmackDown when she and Iyo lost their titles.
Since then, she has adopted the manager role for the group until she is medically cleared to compete in the ring again. On the latest episode of SmackDown, Kai shocked everyone when she saved Bayley from an attack by her group. It will be interesting to see whether the 35-year-old will support the Role Model till the very end or if another betrayal is on the way.
Israel Adesanya hinted at a possible WWE appearance by sharing a picture with Dakota Kai
UFC legend Israel Adesanya recently met WWE star, Dakota Kai and shared a picture on Instagram. The reason behind this crossover is that they are both from Auckland, New Zealand. However, Adesanya’s caption left fans in a bit of a jumble.
With the picture, the UFC legend wrote a caption tag team champs, hinting towards a future WWE appearance. The relationship between UFC and WWE got healthier when they were merged under one company, TKO.
Many superstars from UFC backgrounds have graced the WWE ring in the past and even won some titles. Popular stars like Ronda Rousey, Brock Lesnar, and Bobby Lashley have found a tremendous amount of success in WWE. It will be interesting to see whether more UFC superstars make their WWE debuts, thanks to the merger of the two companies.
