The Crown Jewel 2023 event has concluded with a lot of surprises and spectacular moments. However, former professional mixed martial artist Daniel Cormier criticized the crowd for the underwhelming response to the matches, especially the match between Iyo Sky and Bianca Belair for the WWE Women’s Championship.

Sky and Belair delivered an incredible match on the show, while Bayley was in the champion’s corner. The match took an exciting turn when the Pirate Princess Kairi Sane returned to attack The EST, swinging the momentum of the match towards Iyo Sky. Sane became the deciding factor in the outcome of the match.

Kairi Sane’s return took Bayley by surprise because she was the one who attacked Kairi, resulting in her absence from the company since July 2020. However, her shocking return looked quite bleak, as the crowd didn’t react the way they should have. That didn’t sit well with UFC legend Daniel Cormier. He criticized the crowd for the underwhelming response.

Cormier further compared the Saudi crowd to the Puerto Rico crowd and said the crowd was so much better in Puerto Rico at Backlash 2023. It is indeed true, as the crowd at Backlash was red-hot throughout the show, with some huge chants. It will be interesting to see what Kairi Sane’s next move will be and how the dynamics between her and Bayley change.

Kairi took to X and simply said that she was back while sharing a backstage picture. The WWE Women’s Champion welcomed her back and thanked her. Many wrestling fans were so happy and shocked to see her return and help Iyo. During her hiatus, Sane wrestled for Stardom for quite some time.
