Batista is one of the biggest names in pro wrestling. Being one of the strongest wrestlers in WWE, he built quite a fan base in the company. He took his fandom to the next level when he went on to pursue a career in the acting industry. Another skill that The Altered Beast has achieved right now is earning a brown belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Dave Bautista took to Instagram to announce his accomplishment while writing a heartfelt caption.

The picture posted by Dave had him showcasing his brown belt with the Gracie Fighter gym logo behind him. He was presented with the brown belt by his teammates Josh Raff, Matheus Andre, and Jason Manly. Dave Bautista started his BJJ journey with Cesar Gracie’s BJJ gym back in 2010. As soon as he started, he faced the difficulties of this combat sport. But his sheer passion for the sport made him gradually fall in love with it.

He described the training process as hectic, as it had clashed with his acting career since 2014. Dave’s role as Drax in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise kept him away from his mortal combat passion. The first movie released in 2014 took time away from Batista, hence halting his BJJ training. And now that the movie series has ended, Dave has made his way back to his training in jiu-jitsu.

As Dave has earned a massive fandom from his successful career, he did not forget his roots and has come back to finish what he started. He thanked his friend and brown belt WWE star MVP for helping him in his training. He sent love and respect towards the owner of Gracie Tampa South Gym, Matt Aroyo, for his constant efforts in making Dave what he is today. Dave Bautista concluded with a willingness to continue this training and learn more of it.
