WWE legend Dave Bautista has accomplished several achievements throughout his wrestling and acting career. In addition to those, Batista is also a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, which is the highest rank in the sport. Recently, the Hollywood star sat down with MMA fighter Matt Arroyo, where he spoke about his favorite submission maneuver.
In a clip posted by Arroyo on his Instagram account, The Animal revealed that his go-to move in Jiu Jitsu is the Kimura Lock. Interestingly, it is the submission move that Brock Lesnar uses in WWE. According to Batista, he prefers using maneuvers in the sport that help him stick to the basics.
“I’m a basic guy; I’m basic Jiu Jitsu. I stick to basics; I believe in basics, and I typically end up in a good spot for a Kimura. So that’s kind of my go-to. I just typically end up with an arm in my hand, and it’s the easiest basic thing to go to,” detailed Dave Bautista on his pick. Moreover, Matt Arroyo joked about his body strength assisting him in the move.
“Once you’ve got a Kimura locked in, you just wait for them to move and see what they’re doing, and it is pretty much easy just to finish them,” further added the WWE legend. The maneuver is one of the most devastating aspects of Lesnar’s in-ring repertoire. The Beast Incarnate has defeated several superstars with this dangerous submission.
