The Animal Dave Bautista has had one of the most inspiring careers in WWE. He won multiple world championships and won Royal Rumble twice, apart from wrestling in the main event of WrestleMania multiple times. However, Batista had a very tough time financially when he first debuted on the main roster.

In a recent Instagram video posted by The Animal on his account, Dave Bautista recalls the time when he made his main roster. He said that WWE called him up from OVW on short notice and said that he needed to be there in a week as they had something for him on the show. The management also told him to buy a nice suit for himself and bring it for show.

Batista recalls having only $500 in his bank account at the time. Therefore, he had to ask for money from his wife to buy the suit and tailor it according to his size. He also said that when he went to the show and showed the suit, the production tore the sleeves off the suit and made him wear the suit without sleeves. At first, the animal found it very weird and questioned his role.

However, once he started working in front of fans and started getting popular, he understood his role better. The 54-year-old also recalled his days at OVW, where he was a superstar and wrestled the likes of Randy Orton, John Cena, and Brock Lesnar before any of them could make their main roster debuts.

Bautista decided to move to better prospects after a Hall of Fame-worthy career in WWE. He started doing movies around the 2010s and appeared in multiple movies in his initial years. However, he reached his true peak when he played the role of Drax, the Destroyer, in the MCU’s Guardians of the Galaxy. The movie was directed by James Gunn and is considered to be one of the better movies in the MCU.

GOTG 3 was recently released, and it was revealed that this will be the last movie in the franchise as both James Gunn and Bautista parted ways with Marvel. Bautista is currently working on other movies, while Gunn is among the top guys in DC movies. Therefore, fans were wondering about the possibility of the two working together again, as The Animal could play Bane in DC’s new Batman movies.

However, the 54-year-old said that he talked to Gunn about this, and he believes that according to Gunn’s plans, he should look for younger actors to play the top roles in his movies. Therefore, it would not make sense for him to play Bane, as he believes that younger stars should get the opportunity.
