WWE updates their situation regarding the Day 1 pay-per-view as they sold some travel packages

Day 1 pay-per-view
Day 1 of the event, which was scheduled to take place on January 1, 2023, at the Atlanta, has now been declared officially canceled by WWE. A house show will now take its place in its place. Although WWE has yet to sell a single ticket for the event, they do sell something.
The WWE has been altering its plans after deciding to turn the show into a house show, and more than that, if you even click the link for the show tickets, it now takes you to house show tickets, as reported by Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE already started selling the travel packages for the show and many of them were already sold.
WWE’s decision stunned everyone because Day 1 was going to be a huge pay-per-view and the entire WWE Universe was thrilled to watch it. One of the biggest highlights occurred on Day 1 last week when Brock Lesnar unexpectedly won and became the WWE World Champion.
The Wrestling Observer stated, “The final Day 1 story is this. WWE did cancel the Day 1 show at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta and will now run that building instead for a house show on 12/27. Tickets had never gone on sale to the public for 1/1 however there were travel packages that people had purchased for Day 1 ahead of the on-sale. The ticket link for Day 1 now takes you to the house show.”
Day 1 is not the only thing getting canceled

WWE has canceled many pay-per-view events for next year after shocking everyone with their decision. They have canceled major PPVs like Hell in a Cell, and Elimination Chamber will no longer be held in 2023 as the old PPVs like No Way Out and many more will return.
Many WWE fans will find this to be very nostalgic, but it was only done to do rid of a match-specific pay-per-view and bring the good old gimmicks back to the current product, which might even draw in some former Wrestling fans and boost the company’s viewership.
