Did WWE just tease Jade Cargill’s first feud on SmackDown? Analyzing the possibilities

Jade Cargill has been a huge attraction for WWE. After her explosive debut at Royal Rumble 2024, fans expected Cargill to appear regularly on WWE programming. However, that was not the case. She made sporadic appearances regarding which brand she would choose. 

The WWE Universe was wondering who her first target would be and it looks like they just got a glimpse of it. The notorious group, Damage CTRL was conversing backstage as Jade came face to face with them. Although SmackDown G.M. Nick Aldis quickly broke away from the intense face-off, fans felt the tension and animosity between them.

After the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble winner Bayley chose Iyo Sky for a match at WrestleMania, the Damage CTRL turned on her and attacked her. It looked like Dakota Kai was still her only friend remaining, but it all went wrong in the latest episode of SmackDown. During their tag team match against Kabuki Warriors, Kai refused to tag the Role Model and joined the group to land an attack on her.

It looked like Jade was definitely on Bayley’s side, as she furiously confronted the group backstage and eyed Iyo’s title. This could potentially set up a match between Big Jade and Iyo for the WWE Women’s Title in the future. It will be interesting to see whether Jade finally becomes a full-fledged superstar and feuds with Damage CTRL or not. 

Jade Cargill expressed her frustrations with Damage CTRL after another betrayal on social media

Although Jade Cargill confronted Damage CTRL backstage for what they did to Bayley on SmackDown, it wasn’t enough for her. She condemned their behavior on social media and said they deserved to get beat up by her.

The 31-year-old took to X and said that what Dakota Kai and Damage CTRL did to Bayley was not right. She called them a bunch of kids and further added that the WWE Women’s title should not stay with people like Iyo Sky. 

Look at these kids. They need to get their a** beat for what they did tonight. It wasn't right...right? Someone like that shouldn't hold a belt.

The WWE Universe got more excited when Jade mentioned something interesting in the follow-up post. She corrected herself and inserted *my* belt instead of her belt, teasing that she might go after the title soon. It will be interesting to see whether WWE builds something up for this rivalry or if it’s just a thought for the future.
