All Elite Wrestling (AEW) is currently the second most famous pro wrestling promotion in the world after WWE. Since coming on air in 2019, this company has acted as an alternative for fans in the USA and even Canada. Many famous wrestlers have even jumped ships from WWE to AEW in the meantime. Recently, in the pre-show of All Elite Wrestling’s last PPV, Revolution 2023, the date and venue of AEW’s next marquee event “Double or Nothing” were revealed.
The officially announced date for the event is May 28th, 2023. T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, NV was revealed as location for the show which is the same as last year’s location. Many superstars like MJF, Kenny Omega, Jon Moxley, and many more are expected to be on the show. AEW Double or Nothing 2019, was the first event under Tony Khan’s command. Fortunately, it was a major success as well as it was admired by almost everyone.
March 17th, 2023 will mark the beginning of ticket sales. This will be the fifth event in Double or Nothing PPV series. The company has set its traditional weekend date, which has been at the end of May since the beginning. It will be interesting to see the match card in future as well as how the event performs this year.

The possible world title contender at AEW Double or Nothing 2023
MJF has been one of the most impactful as well as one of the best AEW wrestlers. The three-time Diamond Ring winner defeated Jon Moxley, formerly known as Dean Ambrose at AEW Full Gear 2022. Since then, the Fastest-Rising Superstar in professional wrestling has been at the top.
At Revolution 2023, MJF defended his AEW World Championship against Bryan Danielson in a 60-minute ironman match with a score of 4-3. The contest initially tied at 3-3. Hence, it went into sudden death. The champ made the American Dragon tap out on his submission hold. The possibility is high that MJF now will directly defend his title at AEW Double or Nothing.
Anyone can face MJF at Double or Nothing as the gates are open right now. However, it looks like the odds of a face superstar facing the World Champion are relatively more as the 26-year-old is one of the biggest heels, not just in AEW, but in the whole wrestling business. Considering this, Hangman Adam Page might be a considerable challenger for the title. The Cowboy recently defeated the Death Rider, Jon Moxley, at Revolution 2023 in a Texas Death Match. Page has all the momentum in his hands, and he just might be the one to challenge MJF at AEW’s biggest event.
Tony Khan might see a potential challenger in Adam Page. However, one should never neglect the rumor about CM Punk‘s return to AEW. If the Best in the World makes his way back soon, he might as well be MJF’s opponent at Double or Nothing. The two of them had a classic rivalry some time ago in which both the wrestlers had one victory each. With the involvement of the World title in their third match, the hype will be even higher. The event is still more than two months away. Hence, time will tell the fans who will challenge Maxwell Jacob Freidman on May 28th, 2023, at the T-Mobile Arena.
