Drew McIntyre‘s spot-on troll game earned him a Slammy this year. Ahead of tonight’s World Heavyweight title match against Seth Rollins, The Scottish Warrior was declared the Social Star of the year at Slammys 2024: The Fans Choice Awards. McIntyre accepted the honor in a ceremony held at WWE World, hosted by Big E and Cathy Kelley. However, Drew saw fellow Superstar Chelsea Green approach him, and he got one up on her as well.

The former Women’s Tag Team Champion was upset that she wasn’t crowned the Social Star of the year. Piqued by Green’s gimmicky blabbering, the Scot outright told her to better calm down or he’d have the security escort her out of the building. It was nothing but an adroit dig at Chelsea’s recent outing at one of the restaurant bars in New York City. The Canadian wrestler was thrown out after the hotel staff misread her as an escort.

Keeping the aforementioned banter aside, the self-proclaimed DM Hunk is on a mission tonight. What he has is a crack at the top prize on Monday Night Raw, currently seen around Seth Rollins‘ waist. Not only could McIntyre dethrone The Visionary, while doing so, he’d finally get what he’s been clamoring for years: a WrestleMania moment with actual fans in attendance.

Yesterday, he took to X to assert that his ‘Mania gear has been lost. He could’ve stopped at that, but he couldn’t. The former WWE Champion tagged The Second City Saint to ask whether he could lend him his trunks as the latter isn’t competing at The Show of Shows.

Before that, The Savior of WrestleMania was spotted sweating out in the gym with current AEW star Brian Cage. It would be interesting to see if the one who has had broken dreams prevails in a few hours.
