CM Punk returned to WWE even after swearing he wouldn’t ever do so. However, the return of the Best in the World hasn’t been quite what he might have expected. Despite having problems with Seth “Freakin” Rollins, Drew McIntyre has become Punk’s worst nightmare in his second run. Recently, The Scottish Warrior spilled some facts about Punk and shared real-life animosity between them from the past.

Drew McIntyre recently let the world know his inner thoughts on Gorilla Position. The Saviour of WrestleMania accepted that the controversial Superstar is indeed a ticket-seller and a huge draw for the Stamford-based company. However, he claimed that Phil Brooks is a terrible human being from the inside. The Scottish wrestler asserted how karma played its role in having The Cookie Master out of WrestleMania XL.

I’ve been pretty honest about my opinions, he sells tickets, is a draw, but is a terrible human being. I was around him when I grew up & there were instances I haven’t talked about, perhaps won’t talk about till it’s face to face with him.

It is evident that the 38-year-old Superstar indeed got his prayers heard after the former mixed martial artist got injured and was sidelined for WrestleMania XL. Over the weeks succeeding CM Punk‘s injury, DM Hunk has boasted about his actions on the 45-year-old Superstar and has repeatedly taken shots at him.

WWE has announced The Second City Saint’s return next week on Raw. Although the plans have not been unveiled, the former Drew Galloway took to X to poke fun at him. The 2-time WWE Champion mocked the 5-time WWE Champion for lifting baby weights and flexed his strong triceps to intensify the mockery. Moreover, he played Justin Timberlake‘s “Cry Me A River” to refer to Punk’s history with AEW Superstar Jack Perry.

Will CM Punk play a special role at WrestleMania XL?

Earlier plans revealed that WWE wanted to have Seth Rollins vs. CM Punk at WrestleMania XL. Unfortunately, the controversial Superstar’s injury changed the course and forced WWE to have Drew McIntyre replace him. Since the former ECW Champion has problems with both The Visionary and his opponent, WWE might swerve the fans by having him somehow get involved in the fray.

Many fans have expressed their desire to have the former 2-time AEW World Champion be the host. Instead, the Chicago-born Superstar might announce to be the special guest referee for Seth’s Title match. The Revolutionary has decided to team with Cody Rhodes in their match against The Bloodline. Furthermore, The Architect has himself specified that he barely worries about his match against the savage Superstar.

Adding CM to the mix will not only enhance the big match feel, it will also provide a major reason to invite him on the show. Moreover, considering the bad blood among all the three Superstars, the match will have an increased level of animosity. Only time will tell what The Voice of the Voiceless has to say on Raw with a twisted Scottish looming for his return.
