Drew McIntyre is doing some of his best character work in WWE right now with his ‘hater’ persona. He recently won the Men’s Elimination Chamber match while entering first and eliminating three superstars. McIntyre came out on Raw and addressed the WWE Universe after his ‘hypocritical’ victory at the Elimination Chamber.

The 38-year-old superstar shocked everyone when he said he got injured during the match. He further shared bad news regarding his injury, stating that his eardrum was blown out. As a result, doctors informed him that there was a chance he wouldn’t even make it to WrestleMania. However, it turns out it was a set-up for yet another brutal shot by McIntyre at CM Punk

He threw a curveball to the crowd by gloating that he wasn’t like Punk, who was sidelined from WrestleMania. The Best in the World suffered an injury at the hands of McIntyre in the Royal Rumble match. Punk tore his right tricep while receiving a Future Shock DDT from The Scottish Warrior. As a result, he will miss WrestleMania for an indefinite time to recover from it.

He looked at me and told me, Drew, you're hurt, there's a chance you might not make it to WrestleMania. And I looked at him and said, 'Who do you think I am CM Punk?' nothing's gonna stop me from making Mania.

Since Punk’s injury, McIntyre has not only trolled and mocked him, but he has been selling t-shirts of himself celebrating crushing The Second City Saint’s WrestleMania dreams. He now has a clear path to winning the World Title, as he will fight Seth Rollins at the Show of Shows. It will be interesting to see whether McIntyre accomplishes his dream of winning the title in front of a sold-out crowd or not.

The Scottish Warrior took to X and shared a video of the promo he gave on Raw. He wrote that he would dedicate his match to Punk. In the promo, he took several digs at The Straight Edge Superstar by revealing that he drank a lot of alcohol on his behalf to celebrate his victory.

"Now Punk, I know it hurt you not to be a part of Chamber, I know it hurt you not to be a part of WrestleMania, and it probably kills you to see me in the world title match. But I want you to know I thought about you after that match, and I wanted to do something special just for you. I know you're straight edge, I know you don't drink, so on the way home, I drank twice as much for both of us to celebrate."

Later on in the night, he insulted Jey Uso after he lost his Intercontinental Title match against Gunther, thanks to Jimmy Uso‘s interference. The WWE Universe is loving this ruthless side of Drew McIntyre that does not care about anybody and will destroy anybody in his path. Only time will tell whether this new side of McIntyre helps him become the World Champion at WrestleMania or not.
