Drew McIntyre is one of the most promising and talented wrestlers who is currently working with WWE on Smackdown. Drew McIntyre has had an very impressive career and had fought for wrestling promotions all over the United States of America. McIntyre was dubbed as the chosen one in his initial run with WWE, where he would go on to win the Intercontinental Championship. Although he was a favourite of Vince McMahon McIntyre never found himself in the title picture and was restricted to the mid card and would later become a part of the comic band alongside Heath Slater and Jinder Mahal which eventually led to him leaving WWE.

After leaving WWE Drew McIntyre would go on to perform for promotions like TNA where he became the TNA World Heavyweight Champion. Drew McIntyre after an impressive showing during his time away from WWE got called back to WWE and made his return to the company when he appeared on NXT. McIntyre went undefeated in NXT until his last match where he lost to Andrade and also lost his NXT Championship. Drew McIntyre then made his long-awaited return when he debuted on Raw.

Drew McIntyre since his return to the WWE has been on a roll and was pushed as a legit star in 2020 as he went on an undefeated streak and later made it better when he won the Royal Rumble last eliminating Roman. At that years Wrestlemania McIntyre defeated Brock Lesnar and became the WWE Champion for the first time in his career which he held on to for 202 days.

McIntyre since his return has enjoyed a lengthy time in the main event picture which includes two reigns as the WWE Champion. Drew McIntyre was recently the part of the premium live event of Money in the Bank where he competed in the name sake match but was unsuccessful as Theory went on to win the coveted briefcase.

Drew McIntyre since his return to WWE has expressed his desire to face fellow Englishman and boxer Tyson Fury. Fury who has been aa long-time supporter of WWE has been raring to go against the Scottish psychopath. Tyron Fury appeared in the world of sports entertainment when he wrestled against ‘The Monster Among Men’ Braun Strawman. Tyson Fury skills were at full display when he faced against Adam Scherr at the Crown Jewel event where he won his match.

Fury since then challenged McIntyre to a match between them someday. It is being said that McIntyre will face either Roman Reigns or Brock Lesnar at Clash at the Castle Premium Live Event coming up in the UK. In a recent interview with Wrestling Inc’s Managing Editor Nick Hausman Drew shed on light on the probability of Fury appearing at the event. When asked he will be the guest referee for McIntyre’s match, he answered in one word :

“Maybe,” McIntyre said. “… [Fury] gets it when it comes to entertainment. You see his character, how outspoken he is, very much like a pro wrestler, sports entertainer. When he was with us, he had such a respect and passion for our industry.”

WWE is currently booking Drew against Sheamus and after finishing the fued McIntyre is reported to challenge either Roman Or Lesnar for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at the Clash of the Castle event.
