Having won the Royal Rumble 2020 and eventually captured the WWE Championship at WrestleMania, Drew McIntyre cemented his place in the upper echelon of WWE. The Scottish Warrior established himself as one of the top superstars of the company. That being said, a recent report implies that the superstar has yet to re-sign with the company.

According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio via Ringside News, the Scottish superstar hasn’t signed a new deal. Describing the situation as a numbers game, Meltzer suggested that McIntyre wants a certain number. Therefore, the superstar’s contractual status is still in a state of limbo.

I could check. But I do not believe he’s re-signed. But the point is, he’s got plenty of time. It’s not like, you know, you can’t have him win because he’s gonna be gone in a month and he hasn’t re-signed his deal. And, you know, it’s just, again, I mean, it’s basically a numbers game. While Drew McIntyre etched a place for himself in WWE through sheer charisma and talent, the WWE superstar has seemingly captured the attention of Hollywood too. In a recent interview, the Scottish Warrior confirmed that he has a role in the upcoming film “The Killer’s Game,” starring former WWE star Dave Bautista.

Speaking on Crash & AJ via Ringside News, McIntyre confirmed his role in the movie. He expressed his opinion on working with Dave Bautista on the upcoming project. However, the former WWE Champion looked skeptical about the release date.

Recently, I was in a few projects going on. I had a chance to be in…Dave Bautista has a movie coming out, I don’t know, sometime next year, I’ll be featured in that as well in a more prominent role. That was fun to do. The opportunities seem to be finding me rather than me finding them. We’ll see what the future holds.

The 38-year-old also noted that Hollywood has never been his dream; however, he keeps on getting offers. Furthermore, he expressed his penchant for trying things outside his comfort zone and expanding his brand, which in turn brings more attention to WWE.
