WrestleMania 40 is just a few weeks away, but it looks like Drew McIntyre can’t wait anymore to destroy Seth Rollins. McIntyre felt the Visionary was not focusing on his title defense; instead, he was more worried about his tussle vs. The Bloodline. As such, The Scottish Warrior got his attention at the end of Monday Night Raw.
On the latest episode of Monday Night Raw, McIntyre went one-on-one against ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso. Surprisingly, the 38-year-old suffered a rare defeat at the hands of Cody Rhodes a few days ago at a live show. McIntyre surely took revenge when he beat him with the help of a distraction from Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso.
The beatdown wasn’t over, as after the match ended, Jimmy took a steel chair and tried to attack his brother. However, Rollins rushed to save Jey, proving McIntyre right again in the philosophy of the champion focusing on others’ battles instead of his own. Therefore, he landed a lethal blow on Rollins with a devastating Claymore kick, knocking him out cold.
McIntyre gave a backstage interview about Rollins’ nature. He called him a ‘junkie’ who is just hungry for the spotlight and gave an example of Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, and now, The Rock. The 38-year-old star warned him to focus on his title defense rather than sticking his nose in The Bloodline’s business.
The 38-year-old stood tall on the champ’s lifeless body and again reminded him to focus on his title defense. Rollins will defend his World Heavyweight Title against Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 40. Only time will tell whether Rollins follows the advice given by McIntyre or continues to keep an eye on The Bloodline.
Fans react to Drew McIntyre destroying Seth Rollins with a Claymore Kick
If it wasn’t clear already, Drew McIntyre made sure that World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins remained focused on his title defense. He hit a Claymore kick when he tried to save Jey Uso from his brother Jimmy, in which he wasn’t even involved.
One fan was pretty excited after the show and said McIntyre is having one of the best runs in the company right now. Another fan criticized the company for Jey taking constant losses to different opponents week after week. Here are some of the top reactions from fans:
One user noted a specific moment when Seth ran past his WrestleMania opponent like nothing and may have insulted McIntyre. Some fans appreciated the dedication of the 38-year-old and said he deserved to win the title.
While some fans loved Drew’s heel persona, other fans were reminding him of Punk, whom he injured. Overall, the wrestling world loved the closing segment of the show and is pretty excited to see the two titans collide at the Show of Shows.
