The Scottish Warrior Drew McIntyre is former 2-time WWE Heavyweight Champion. He captured his 1st WWE Title by defeating Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 36. He’s recently been involved over multiple feuds on WWE television and he has officially challenged for an Undisputed Universal Championship match at the upcoming Clash at the Castle Premium-Live-Event which is due to be held on September 3 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.

McIntyre appeared on this week’s WWE’s The Bump where he discussed about a potential future showdown with the Ring General and the current International Champion Gunther. He said, “I want it. He wants it. The fans want it. It’s only a matter of time.”

With Drew McIntyre highly optimistic about this match to happen somewhere down the road in future, we can expect these two physical specimens to lock horns soon.

While talking about Gunther, he got officially called-up to the main roster on the April 9 th edition of Friday Night Smackdown. He debuted alongside Ludvig Kaiser(formerly known as Marcel Barthel) and thrashed a local competitor in a brutal fashion. Following this, he got booked dominantly and The Ring General finally got his 1st major Championship match in WWE only his 6th week on the main roster against Ricochet for the prestigious Intercontinental Championship.

On the June 11th edition of WWE Smackdown , Gunther defeated Ricochet in a highly competitive matchup to win his 1st major title in WWE in the form of IC title. The highly reputed Intercontinental Title has heavily lost his shine in last few years due to poor booking decisions being taken by WWE for their greatly iconic mid-card title. Gunther can definitely bring back the Intercontinental Title it’s dignified glory.

Although they’ve never crossed paths inside of a WWE ring ever before, no one can doubt the in-ring capabilities that both men carry with themselves. Gunther has previously proved himself as one of the fiercest strikers in the game. Don’t believe me?
