The Scottish Warrior, Drew McIntyre is one of the most compelling powerhouses in WWE. His recent persona has seen a serious heel turn, which has piqued the fans’ interest. However, it was not long ago when McIntyre had involved himself in a babyface character and represented the company. After winning the WWE Championship, Drew feuded with Randy Orton and went through a crucial spot at Hell in a Cell.

While talking with The West Sport, McIntyre recalled the time when he took the worst bump of his career at Hell in a Cell 2020. Drew claimed to hate the event and stated that to be his ultimate weakness. He used to be excited about Hell in a Cell during his childhood and used to perform the moves of wrestlers such as The Undertaker and Mankind. But when he was actually put in the place, he realized that he was scared of height, i.e., 20 feet.

McIntyre recalled that in every single Cell match that he’s had, he has fallen off from its extreme height too. During his WWE Championship match with Orton, McIntyre was 10 feet off the ground on the side of the Cell. However, his 6 feet height elevated him more and made the bump on the announcer’s table a bit worse. It was the worst thing of his career, as he even bit through his tongue in the middle.

It was the worst bump of my entire career and I fell off 10 feet off the side. I'm not going to suggest this for anybody, but you know gravity is a hell of a thing, and you weight 280 [pounds], you pick up speed and it was the worst thing my career.

He showed his resistance to Hell in a Cell while being excited for Elimination Chamber 2024. He is one-sixth of the Chamber participants in Australia and the hot favorite to win the bout. Thus, his past history inside the steel structure is quite great, coming from a victory at the 2021 iteration. This Saturday the Optus Stadium in Perth will go bonkers over the dispersed yet enthralling match card.

Drew McIntyre shares the experience of being in the Elimination Chamber

In 2021, Drew McIntyre walked into the Elimination Chamber as the WWE Champion and won the match too. However, it was not his night, as The Miz‘s Money in the Bank cash-in ruined it for him. McIntyre won his first-ever Chamber match to retain his title and lost it a few minutes after that moment.

During the aforementioned interview, Drew was asked about that Chamber experience. He claims that there are multiple ways to hurt someone inside that structure. Those steel-thick chains hurt a lot. He mentions that the first guy to enter gets worn down and beaten up by the rest of the entrants.

There's so many different ways to hurt each other and there you know the steel wiring around it is just thick chains and whenever anybody wants to think about them if you get a chance to get close grab those chains, they hurt so much still we're in there just mashing each other.

McIntyre stated that it would be physically horrible for him and his fellow wrestlers this Saturday in Perth. However, it would be equally entertaining for the fans. He recalled that he knows how to get the job done inside the Chamber and is looking forward to repeating the same this year. The Scottish Warrior concluded by saying that he is not only a 285-pound monster but also a cardio machine.
