From Cody Rhodes to CM Punk, everyone knows what they’re probably going to do at WrestleMania 40. However, the man who’s been a two-time WWE Champion is running out of opportunities at this juncture. And that’s none other than Drew McIntyre. Last night on Raw, he had quite an opening promo segment with Cody Rhodes. The latter was aware of where McIntyre was coming from.

Continuing his menacing run of late, Drew has now reacted after trading some heavy blows with Cody. The Scotsman took to X and iterated that he was operating on a different level. Also, McIntyre alluded to being a wrench in everyone’s WrestleMania plans. He, who had broken dreams, also claimed to be undeniable. And if one paid attention to Drew’s words on a blistering cold Monday night, they’d know he meant it.

First, he vehemently questioned Cody Rhodes for using his political repertoire to bring Jey Uso over to Raw. McIntyre also took offense over The American Nightmare’s appeasing job that he does to keep others happy, adjudging Rhodes as an arse-kisser. But Drew also said he believes that Cody will eventually finish his story. However, it would happen only after McIntyre is done with his.

Many fans know that Rhodes and McIntyre go back a long time in this business. They even had a tag team named The Dashing Ones. Moreover, they wrestled on the independent circuit in 2007, which turned out to be Drew’s last match before he was signed by WWE. Years later, fortunes turned for Cody as well, and he was fired from WWE, but that was potentially the best thing that ever happened to him.

Cody Rhodes is slated for a massive segment with CM Punk

If one thought that Cody Rhodes had a great chance to emulate last year’s Royal Rumble match performance once again, he may have to give it a second thought. Next Monday, for the first time in over a decade on Raw, Cody Rhodes will go face-to-face with CM Punk.

Per the latest betting odds, The Best in the World is the current favorite to outclass 29 other men. However, Cody’s not that far behind, as he has now pipped Gunther for the second spot. The two men will surely have some words to exchange before they head to Tropicana Field on January 27.

For all the good measures, either of the two could make history and secure a main event berth at WrestleMania 40. Only a surprise entry from The Rock might derail their intentions.
