WATCH: Drew McIntyre spotted working out with AEW wrestler ahead of WrestleMania 40

WrestleMania 40 is less than 48 hours away, and Drew McIntyre has left no stone unturned to make sure that he walks out as a champion. As such, he was seen working out in a gym with AEW wrestler Brian Cage in Philadelphia. The Scottish Warrior delivered a special message ahead of the Show of Shows on social media. 

Drew McIntyre took to X and stated that it was high time to unleash the beast out of the ‘cage’. That was a quirky word play by him, as fans noticed Cage, who helped him spot the weights. It was quite surprising to see him with McIntyre, considering the rivalry between the two promotions. McIntyre, unsurprisingly, took a shot at CM Punk by saying that he wouldn’t be able to lift that weight. 

The complete change in his character came after suffering yet another disappointing loss in the Royal Rumble match. The two-time WWE Champion started to call other wrestlers out, especially his WrestleMania opponent Seth Rollins and Punk, on social media. McIntyre often boasts about injuring Punk, alluding to the fact that he shattered his WrestleMania dreams. 

It's WrestleMania week and the beast has been let out the CAGE.

McIntyre earned the opportunity to face Rollins by defeating five other superstars at Elimination Chamber. It will be interesting to see whether he manages to fulfill his dream of winning a world title or not. Although he has his focus on The Visionary, he will also keep an eye on CM Punk, who will be on the commentary during the match. 

WWE Hall of Famer Booker T showers praise on Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre has been doing some excellent work since he turned heel just before Survivor Series: WarGames. Fans have liked his ultimate hater persona, who never misses an opportunity to point out what he believes is wrong. Not only fans, but Booker T recently couldn’t stop praising The Scottish Warrior. 

King Booker spoke about him on the Hall of Fame podcast and appreciated the work he has put in over the years. He stated that McIntyre is one of the best superstars WWE has in the business right now. The 59-year-old legend further added that what truly makes him special is the little stuff he does, which goes unnoticed by fans.

I agree, sign him up. I mean, I like Drew. I mean, he’s a player. He’s the guy that’s put in a lot of work. And you know, a lot of times it’s the stuff that you don’t see, as far as what really makes a guy a real player, what really makes that guy a general?. And that dude, man he’s truly one of them. Seriously.

Recently, The Scottish Warrior took to X and made a post about targeting both Punk and Rollins. He stated that he had already shattered the dreams of The Second City Saint, and now it was the champion’s turn. Only time will tell whether he channels his anger and frustration in the right direction or not.
