Dwayne Johnson made his DC Universe debut with Black Adam, recently. Despite the hype, the superhero movie didn’t went as planned for The Brahma Bull. Also, according to some stats, the movie reportedly lost $100 million post-release. Adding to the woes of Johnson’s DC premiere, Black Adam is now rated as the third worst film of this Universe.
Well, as the saying, you aren’t defined by how get laid down, the ability to bounce back in such conditions does. But, owing to the overall disappointment of Black Adam and James Gunn’s DC leadership, Dwayne Johnson has already clarified that he’s done. At least for the foreseeable future, the movie freaks won’t find The Great One under this labeling.
In an old interview, Dwayne Johnson was asked about whether the supervillain Thanos scares him by any measure. To this, the Jungle Cruise star was quick to discard any such claims, according to Fandom Wire. Moving a step further, the latter would term the Mad Titan and other Marvel characters as “pu**ies”. Continuing his conversation, Johnson asserted the DC takeover and announced that they’ve arrived in the house. Who knew months after saying this, he would himself cut ties with DCU.
“Here’s the thing with the Avengers. So you ask if Thano, what? How do you call the name? If Thanos would scare me? Here’s the thing with the Avengers. They’re all my buddies. They’re pu**ies, that’s the thing. The Avengers? No, you know who’s tough in the Avengers? None of them! DC is in the house! You know what I am saying.”
Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam salary got outnumbered by his own brand
It’s not very often when you find that there’s something wrong about Dwayne Johnson’s pay check. The same happened with his Black Adam one. Not that he was underpaid, in fact it was a sizeable cheque that amounted to $22.5 million. However, it just wasn’t enough to outshine the incredible craze of his own brand, Teremana Tequila.
In the movie Red Notice, Dwayne Johnson starred alongside Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot. Apart from the significant roles of these lead actors, someone else too had 28 minutes of screen time. It was none other than the product placing and positioning of Teremana Tequila.

In a flabbergasting reveal, this next level business strategy did wonders for Johnson. It amassed a net revenue of around $40 million. Easily this amount is almost the double of what he got paid for Black Adam. Going by the numbers, it just feels an embarrassment. However, someone like Dwayne Johnson wouldn’t mind this at all.
