The Zimbabwean UFC sensation Themba Gorimbo caught everyone’s attention after he won his first UFC fight back in May. It wasn’t about him breaking into the scene in Vegas. Moreover, his post-fight interview was a gut-wrenching affair. Gorimbo revealed that he had only $7 left in his bank account just then. Also, the Orthodox fighter disclosed his complete background and the endless toil it took for him to land in America amidst a lack of financial aid.

Moved by the touching story, Dwayne Johnson publicly reacted to the MMA fighter from Zimbabwe. The Great One drew similarities between their life stories and pledged to help him out. To everyone’s surprise, he did that, as The Rock flew to Miami last night to meet Themba Gorimbo. It was never planned, which drew real emotions out of the 32-year-old African.

Moreover, The Rock revealed that Instead of getting himself a place to live, Themba Gorimbo used that money to build a bush pump in his village. He did that in order to avail fresh water for the villagers. Further, Dwayne Johnson wrote that The Cinderella Man never asked him for any help.

However, the WWE legend wanted to assist the Zimbabwean, seeing his inspirational and emotional journey. Needless to say, The People’s Champ saw himself in Gorimbo, having reminiscences of the time the former too had only 7 bucks in his pocket. Therefore, he made ever effort to help him in every way possible.
