Kelly Hu was in an interview where she spoke about the early days of Dwayne Johnson in Hollywood. She gives credit to Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone for paving the way for Dwayne up to the crown in Hollywood. She believes that during the days when he was working for stardom, popular celebrities such as Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone were out of action and this gave Dwayne a necessary boost for his career.
“And I remember telling him he was going to be the next big action star because there was really a void: Arnold Schwarzenegger wasn’t really working anymore, Sylvester Stallone wasn’t really doing movies anymore,” said Kelly. The Rock also knows this thing. His introduction to Hollywood as an action hero was an amazing decision. The way he played the character of ‘Mathayus’ in ‘The Scorpion King’ won him his future roles.
It would be unfair to give the credit of him being successful to any other person. It’s because of his sheer determination that he could achieve this feat. His WWE career is at a halt with his Hollywood dates clashing with the events. His primary focus still remains Hollywood. For this reason, he is one of the most paid celebrity in the world.
