Early Predictions for Wrestlemania 39

Early Predictions for Wrestlemania 39

WrestleMania 39 which is being widely advertised as ‘WrestleMania Hollywood,’ has been confirmed by WWE that it will take place on Saturday, April 1, and Sunday, April 2, 2023, following WrestleMania 38. The event will be broadcast live from the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, CA, where WWE had planned to stage WrestleMania 37 before the global pandemic of COVID-19 forced them to reschedule their plans.

The stadium, which seats over 70,000 people, opened in 2020. It is the current home of the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers, and it hosted Super Bowl 56 in February. WrestleMania 39 will be split into two nights for the fourth year in a row. The first was in 2020 when WWE split the action into two events due to pandemic-related constraints. The trend, though, lasted through WrestleMania 37 in Tampa, Florida, as well as this year as Dallas, Texas hosted the most stupendous Wrestlemania of all time.

Dream Matches for Wrestlemania 39

After an extremely newsworthy WrestleMania 38, the dust has just begun to settle, and fans are already looking forward to what lies next. The Show of Shows will return to Hollywood in April for the first time since 2005 for WrestleMania 39. Nonetheless, it’s always entertaining to try to predict what a WrestleMania card will look like a year in advance. These blockbuster matches could be possible for next year’s Show of Shows if WWE plays their cards right.

  1. Roman Reigns vs The Rock
There will be lots of disappointed fans in attendance at WrestleMania 39 if we don’t get Roman Reigns vs. The Rock. Since The Rock’s last in-ring match in April 2016, Reigns has always been the ideal opponent for The Rock. The Samoan cousin squaring off against each other in a WWE ring is of course a dream match for WWE enthusiasts. However, owing to the busy schedule of the Rock, although the match is in talks right now, could be scrapped. Yet, WWE has been teasing this match for the past couple of weeks on WWE Evil and Young Rock.
  2. Brock Lesnar vs Gable Steveson
As reported earlier, WWE has already been planning to book Gable Steveson as another Brock Lesnar. Gable Steveson got a hint of how Wrestlemania feels as he was in attendance at this year’s show and had a segment where he showcased his moves on Chad Gable. For understandable reasons, Steveson told The MMA Hour in March that Brock Lesnar is his greatest dream opponent in WWE. The Beast Incarnate was a key figure in his amateur wrestling career, paving the path for him to enter WWE.
  3. Ronda Rousey vs Becky Lynch
By the time Wrestlemania 39 comes, Ronda Rousey vs Becky Lynch would be five years in the making. The match was scheduled to happen at Wrestlemania 35, but with Charlotte Flair being added into it, making it a triple threat match, we couldn’t see the two great women squaring off in a singles match. Obviously, they have unfinished business between them that must be resolved on a stage like WrestleMania, regardless of whether or not there is gold on the line.
