“I would prefer my real name…” Edge reveals he wanted to use his BIRTH name in the company

Edge has been in WWE for a very long time. The rated R Superstar has won multiple world titles and even is in the WWE Hall of Fame. Although he retired from WWE in the year 2010 he never said that he couldn’t return to the company. He made everyone shocked when he returned after a whole decade in the 2020 Royal Rumble.
The Rated R superstar since then had some legendary feuds with the likes of Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, Seth Rollins, and many more. He is in the final days of his career as this post-retirement run will be coming soon to an end. According to the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion, he is there in the company for merely 1 or 2 years but he wants to change something in these years.
Edge has wrestled in WWE for more than 15 years but during his last years he only wants one thing for WWE and the thing is he wants to use his original name in the company. During an interview with the WWE Fox network, he revealed that he came up with the name edge but will prefer to go by his original name now Adam Copeland.
He continues and says but this was not right during that era but now he can do that he also stated why his name was the edge he states that he always used to listen to one radio channel which was his favorite and that was EDGE 102 he loved the radio show and always wanted to be on it.
“I actually came up with Edge, I would have preferred Adam Copeland, but that wasn’t the way it really worked [in that era], right? Don Callis and I were driving, and the radio station, it was in Albany, and it was ‘Edge 1-0-something,’ and growing up in Toronto, Edge 102 was always one of my favorite stations.” WWE Hall of Famer exact statement.

What future WWE holds for Edge
Edge is currently one of the top legendary wrestlers which are wrestling he even won the Royal Rumble in 2021 and face Roman Reigns in the main event of that year’s Wrestlemania which he lost. Currently, WWE Hall of Famer is in an active feud with the WWE heel group which he made himself the Judgement Day.
He is scheduled to face Damien Priest on the next edition of Monday Night Raw in Toronto, Canada. He is very excited for the match and is ready to crush his former disciple Damien as he betrayed him when the new leader or member came to the group which was Former WWE Universal Champion Finn Balor.
